Lisa Morris, CES.

Lisa is a Certified Sitting Tai Chi Instructor; Pathways to Wellness, Suzanne Hanley and a Certified Health and Wellness Movement Exercise Specialist, CenterPeace Movement, Christina Kelly-Hunter.

Lisa has said that It was inevitable that she developed plantar fasciitis, a heel spur and ankle tendonitis, from working on her feet all day and was exasperated by jogging on cement sidewalks. While at the gym she noticed folks trying to work their bodies from the outside in. Bulking up and looking good, however, there seemed to be very little awareness of what was going on inside the body. Poor posture, no focus on breathing, lifting too much weight and lifting incorrectly are only a few of the reasons that made her think, there has to be a better way to be healthy. lisa decided to become an exercise instructor and teach people health and awareness classes, with a full acceptance of the students physical and fitness condition. Exercises classes that can be modified for anyone, any age, at any fitness level. Her goal is to make people aware of their bodies, including breathing and posture, and to teach them “slow, flow” movements to energize their bodies and to make everyday activities and chores less stressful in mind and body.

The philisophy of CenterPeace Movement is best deascribed by a quote from Joesph Pilates,

"Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. Our interpretation of physical fitness is the attainment

and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind fully capable of naturally, easily, and satisfactorily performing our many and varied daily tasks with spontaneous zest and pleasure"
